Srixon is back with the next generation of ZXi Irons, and the brief hasn't changed since the very first prototype: feel is everything. This new ZXi range has been rebuilt from the ground up, with new metallurgy, a new face architecture, and refined shaping across the board, all chasing the same thing Srixon has chased for decades, the unmistakable feel of a pure strike.

Four models headline the launch, ZXi7, ZXi5, ZXi5+ and ZXiU, each built on shared new generation technology but tuned for a different kind of player. Whether you want tour level workability, a players performance blend of feel and forgiveness, extra distance in a compact players shape, or a long iron replacement that still feels like an iron, there is a new ZXi built for you.

The Story Behind the Steel

Every ZXi Iron starts long before it reaches the forge. Srixon's engineers begin with numbers, shapes and analysis, measuring, modelling and refining every dimension in pursuit of the ideal strike. But feel isn't perfected on a screen.

Once a design nears its final form, it's handed to a master Japanese craftsman who refines it through touch alone, filing, shaping and honing through instincts built over decades. Those hand finished prototypes then define the master molds used to forge every production head, before heading back out to the course in the hands of Srixon's own tour staff to be tested under pressure and proven where it matters most.

i-FORGED: The Biggest Breakthrough in ZXi Metallurgy

At the centre of the new ZXi range is i-FORGED, Srixon's most advanced breakthrough in iron metallurgy to date. It's a one of a kind formula that strengthens and enhances every ZXi iron for superior feel, while supporting greater distance, forgiveness and control. And it all starts at the forge.

Condensed Forging is what makes it possible. Soft steel gives you feel, but it doesn't always give you strength, so in the earliest stage of forging, Srixon builds subtle raised structures into exactly the areas where impact stress is highest (the hosel for ZXi7, the topline for ZXi5, ZXi5+ and ZXiU). Then, under extreme heat and thousands of pounds of pressure, those structures are compressed back into the head, tightening the grain structure at a microscopic level. The result is targeted strength exactly where players need it, and softness everywhere else.

From there, every iron goes through Heat Softening, a carefully controlled heat treatment process that fine tunes feel. Because strength is already concentrated in the right places, Srixon can optimise the temperature for even greater softness without sacrificing durability, delivering a softer, more responsive impact paired with the consistency better players demand.

More Speed, More Consistency: MainFrame iQ and PureFrame iQ

Every new ZXi iron also features an updated variable face design and weighting system, MainFrame iQ on ZXi5, ZXi5+ and ZXiU, and PureFrame iQ on ZXi7, engineered using AI assisted simulation of thousands of real world strikes to tune face thickness and mass distribution club by club.

The result: up to 8% reduced face mass on ZXi5, with those savings repositioned for a lower centre of gravity and higher MOI than the previous generation. Weight pad optimisation shifts throughout the set too, more forgiveness for the long irons, more control for the short irons, for faster ball speeds and tighter dispersion on every shot.

Shared Technology Across the Range

A few more details every new ZXi iron shares. Progressive Grooves bring wider grooves in the 3 iron through 7 iron for longer shots in all conditions, with deeper, closer set grooves in the short irons to cut through grass and debris for enhanced spin, and laser milling between each groove boosts friction in every condition. Tour V.T. Sole is a proprietary combination of sole width, bounce geometry and precision notching that promotes cleaner contact, preserves clubhead speed and delivers enhanced workability, even on imperfect strikes. Refined Players Shaping means every new ZXi iron has been refined by Srixon's tour staff for a cleaner, more exacting profile, with slightly thinner toplines than the previous generation. Precision Forging by Endo means every ZXi face and body is forged at Japan's premier forging house, a place that refuses to compromise on feel.

ZXi5 Irons: Feel, Speed, Performance	ZXi5 is a players performance iron that perfectly blends distance and forgiveness, featuring a wider sole than ZXi7, with a moderate blade length and offset. It's the go to choice for golfers who want premium forged feel without giving up ball speed or a forgiving margin for error.
ZXi5+ Irons: Feel, Distance, Forgiveness	All new to the range, ZXi5+ unites feel with a forgiving, compact shape. It features a confident player's topline with longer blade lengths, wider soles and stronger lofts than ZXi5 for more distance and forgiveness in a genuine players chassis, right through to a 56° sand wedge.
ZXiU Irons: Feel, Speed, Power	ZXiU Utility Irons are powerful long iron replacements, trusted even among tour pros, featuring signature Srixon feel, higher launch and excellent forgiveness in a blade like design with moderate offset. Available in 2, 3 and 4 iron lofts, it's the easiest way to keep long irons in the bag with total confidence.

Every ZXi iron model shares remarkably similar shaping and nearly identical topline widths, so they're designed to be mixed and matched into a combo set that's fine tuned to your exact game. Player Preferred pairs ZXiU with ZXi7, a popular combination for skilled players seeking long iron launch and forgiveness paired with highly workable short irons. Tour Preferred pairs ZXi5 with ZXi7, with 4 to 6 iron in ZXi5 and 7 iron through PW in ZXi7 offered as stock, and other combinations available as custom. Players Forgiveness pairs ZXi5+ with ZXi5, combining forgiving long irons with a workable cavity back short iron for a confidence inspiring set from top to bottom.
