He’s the world No. 1, a two-time major champion, an Olympic gold medalist, and a generational talent in ball-striking. Now, Scottie Scheffler has added another accolade to his remarkable career: FedExCup champion.

After entering the TOUR Championship as the No. 1 seed in both 2022 and 2023 without converting, Scheffler finally sealed the deal with a brilliant performance at East Lake this weekend. Starting the week at 10-under in the FedExCup Starting Strokes format, he kept his competition at bay with consistent rounds of 65-66-66-67 on the recently restored Atlanta course. Scheffler finished at 30-under, four strokes ahead of Collin Morikawa, to claim the 2024 FedExCup title.

At 28, Scheffler is the reigning PGA TOUR Player of the Year for two consecutive years and has won the last two PLAYERS Championship titles. Firmly holding the No. 1 spot in the Official World Golf Ranking, he is also set to lead the U.S. Team at this month’s Presidents Cup at The Royal Montreal Golf Club. Now, as the PGA TOUR’s season-long FedExCup champion, Scheffler adds another milestone to a spectacular career that began in New Jersey, where he created his own courses around the house as a child, and continued through his youth in Dallas, where he practiced in long pants to emulate the pros. His journey, which has spanned nearly three decades, remains on an upward trajectory.

Here’s a look at how Scheffler reached this pinnacle, with key moments from his 2024 journey to the PGA TOUR’s ultimate prize:
