Hannah Green Wins in Singapore. With Home Soil Next on the Horizon
Australia’s Hannah Green has added another major chapter to her growing legacy, winning the HSBC Women’s World Championship for the second time after a dramatic final round at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore.
Green finished at 14-under-par to claim a one-shot victory over American Auston Kim, holding her nerve down the stretch to secure the title in one of the LPGA Tour’s most competitive early-season events. The win marks her second triumph in Singapore, having also lifted the trophy here in 2024.
A Champion Built for Big Moments
Green first announced herself on the global stage with her breakthrough victory at the 2019 Women’s PGA Championship, a major win that established her as one of Australia’s leading players. Since then, she has become a consistent contender on the LPGA Tour, known for her composure, competitive edge and ability to perform under pressure.
Her latest win further reinforces her status as one of the game’s top international players and a proud ambassador for Australian golf.
A Tense Final Round
Green entered the final day tied for the lead and posted a closing round of 69. While her back nine featured a mix of three birdies and three bogeys, she maintained enough momentum to stay ahead of a charging field.
Auston Kim delivered one of the rounds of the day with a brilliant 67, highlighted by six birdies and an eagle. However, key mistakes late in the round ultimately left her one stroke short.
Minjee Lee, who shared the lead heading into Sunday, finished tied for third at 11-under after an even-par final round. It was a tightly packed leaderboard, with several of the world’s best pushing hard in the no-cut, 72-player field.

The LPGA Asian Swing Continues
The Singapore event was the second stop of the LPGA Tour’s early-season Asian swing, with the final tournament set to take place next week in China. The stretch of events provides important momentum opportunities as players build form for the year ahead.
Eyes Now Turn to Australia
With the international season well underway, attention will soon shift closer to home as the women’s professional calendar moves toward its Australian swing. Upcoming tournaments on Australian soil will provide local fans with the chance to see the world’s best compete, along with Australia’s leading stars, in front of home crowds.
Events such as the Australian Open and other key national championships traditionally form an important part of the schedule, attracting strong international fields and showcasing the depth of Australian women’s golf.
For Green, the timing couldn’t be better. Coming off another win in Singapore, she will return to Australia full of confidence, ready to carry her form into the upcoming home tournaments.
Another trophy secured overseas. Now, the focus turns to continuing that success on Australian fairways.
