In the G430 fairways, PING developed Carbonfly Wrap to deliver more distance by positioning the CG closer to the force line to maximize ball speed, resulting in higher, longer carries. They also rely on Facewrap and Spinsistency, two proven technologies that contribute to distance gains and spin consistency across the clubface.
Carbon-fly Wrap: An ultra-thin lightweight composite crown wraps into the heel and toe of the skirt. Weight savings (compared to a steel crown) are allocated to lower the CG for increasing ball speed.
Facewrap Technology: The thin, high-strength maraging steel face wraps into the sole and crown to increase flexing and generate faster ball speed with a higher launch for greater distance.
Spinsistency: A variable roll radius improves performance across the face (especially on thin shots) by reducing spin to increase ball speed and distance from the maraging steel face.
Adjust Loft, Lie: To customise ball flight, Trajectory Tuning 2.0 utilises a lightweight, aerodynamic hosel sleeve that provides eight positions, adjusting for loft (±1.5°) and lie (up to 3° flatter than std.).
Forgiving Heads: The models are engineered to ensure added distance and forgiveness for various skill levels. The MAX fits the widest range of golfers with four options (3W - 15 degrees, 5W - 18 degrees, 7W - 21 degrees available).
Shaft: All three clubs feature a stiff HZRDUS Smoke Red RDX graphite shaft that provides more launch and spin than any other HZRDUS RDX shaft. Similar to RDX Black, Smoke Red RDX features a stiff butt and midsection that best suits aggressive tempos but contains an active tip section for increased trajectory. Designed in lighter weights and optimized torques, RDX Red is ideal for a wide range of mid-trajectory players.
