Your equipment makes a much more significant difference than you think! Regardless of skill level, experience, technique or physique, every golfer will benefit from a personal custom golf club or putter fitting.
Golf equipment is no longer a self-shoppable product. With no two swings or strokes alike and no two clubs or putters the same, gone are the days when the same specs should be sold to each person! Different models and their inter-changeable shafts, heads, grips and weights deliver various launch and spin characteristics. You'll want to find the best value and performing driver, woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putter to match your DNA and have your optimal ball flight.
A private custom fitting is just $110, which is deducted from your equipment purchase price when you buy through Indoor Golf Narrabri and Golfie Pro Shop.
Graeme Trew is PGA Australia and International Professional Association of ClubFitters certified, with over 35 years of experience as a specialist golf club fitter. He has been voted one of The World's Top 100 Professional Club Fitters every year since 2011. The Top 100 helps golfers find master club fitters with outstanding reputations, integrity and workmanship to help you play better golf.
There is no guesswork. Graeme says. "State-of-the-art TrackMan technology shows fitting tags and a full range of club and ball data (over 40 parameters), to analyse the many variables that correlate to your ball flight and forgiveness, such as clubhead speed, angle of attack, impact location, ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, curve, maximum height, landing angle, distance and accuracy. This data informs the specialist advice you receive about the custom-fitted golf equipment specifications that you need to improve every shot in your arsenal and your confidence. This ensures your next club or set will be the best investment you can make to improve your overall game and level of enjoyment.
Beyond good technique and regular practice, the keys to greater consistency and success on the course lie with proper fitting and quality checks on the building. One myth about club fitting is get fit once, and use those specs for life. That thinking is off-base, according to Graeme. "Elite players have fittings and equipment checks all the time," he says. "If the general club golfer plays on a rough track, is tweaking their swing or being coached, a spot check every six to twelve months is fine. If the golfer plays without making changes, a club fitting may be needed every three to five years."
